Creator Analytics Overview

Creator Analytics is the Data page within the Creator Center (App) that serves as a one-stop hub for creators to:
1) View detailed performance insights of your livestreams, videos, products, and users
2) Get various suggestions and recommendations on how to improve your performance
3) Find inspiration from trending content or browse other similar creators for ideas

How to Access Creator Analytics

Entrance: Profile > TikTok Shop Creator Center > Data Module
Step 1:At your Profile, click on the shopping bag icon -> click on TikTok Shop Creator CenterStep 2:It will display data for today and the last 7 days, Click on the [>] at metrics to land onto the Data page.Step 3:This is the Data page, home to all Creator Analytics.

View Your Overall Performance

  • The Key metrics section gives you a birds-eye overview of your overall performance during your selected time period. It is divided into two tabs Overview and Commissions. You can switch it as you want.
    • Overview tab includes 4 metrics
      • GMV
      • Items sold
      • Product impressions
      • Product clicks
    • Commissions tab includes 4 metrics
      • Commission GMV
      • Commission items sold
      • Commission base
      • Est. commission
  • To give you a clearer understanding of how these metrics are defined and caculated, please click the icon in the upper right corner of each metric, and a pop-up window will appear displaying the definition of that metric.
    • Under the Overview tab
      • GMV: GMV shows the amount customers paid for orders, right away and within 7 days of clicking a product link. This figure includes returns and refunds, orders from Shop Ads, as well as orders that don't generate commissions, such as refundable samples, bundle deals, and more.
      • Items sold: includes both purchases made right away and within 7 days after customers click a product link. This figure includes returns and refunds, orders from Shop Ads, as well as orders that don't generate commissions. For example, refundable samples, bundle deals, and more.
      • Product impressions: he total number of times the products were displayed to users across the product marketplace, LIVE streams, and other surfaces.
      • Product clicks: The total number of product link clicks from LIVE streams, shoppable videos, and product cards.
    • Under the Commissions tab
      • Commission GMV: shows the amount customers paid for orders, including refunds and returns. It includes purchases made right away and within 7 days after someone clicks a product link in your shoppable content, showcase, or affiliate link (if available). This metrics does not include orders that don't generate commissions, such as refundable samples, bundle deals, etc.
      • Commission items sold: includes purchases made immediately and within 7 days after a user clicks a product link in your shoppable content, showcase, or affiliate link (if applicable). This metric encompasses items in orders that have been placed, regardless of payment status, and includes returns and refunds. This metrics does not include orders that don't generate commissions, such as refundable samples, bundle deals, etc.
      • Commission base: shows the basis for your commission, which is the GMV you generated after discounts, taxes, and other costs. This figure includes refunds and returns.
      • Est. commission:estimated amount you’ll receive, including commissions, Shop Ads commissions, bonuses if offered. You can check your actual commissions accounted for returns and refunds in TikTok Shop Creator Center> Earnings.

Underneath the Key metrics section, you'll be able to see the Diagnosis module where it gives you various suggestions and recommendations on how to grow your performance. Also, get more content inspiration from other popular videos or view other creator references!

  6. Improve GMV - the GMV on these videos is low and has potential to be improved

The toolkit menu enables you to view or analyse other performance insights you wish to understand better.
  1. Product: See the full list of products that are driving the most revenue, est. commission and items sold so that you can optimize your product strategy.
  2. Video: Check how people are engaging with your video content, view your top performing products and videos.
  3. LIVE: Get a performance breakdown of your ongoing or historical livestreams and know what the key drivers are that leads to viewers purchasing products.
  4. User: Dive into the details of who your followers, buyers and viewers are, understand their purchase preferences and browsing behaviour.
  5. Diagnosis: Get personalised diagnostic suggestions based on specific LIVE issues and learn how to improve your livestream traffic generation and conversion rate.
  6. Market insight: Get ideas from other popular videos and trends, choose to browse content by video, hashtag or music.
  7. Coupon bundle: Check your Est. Commission and Est. Rewards from the various Coupon bundles shared.

  • Get a quick glance at the top 3 performing products and their GMV, Est Commission and Items sold. Click on 'view all' to view the full list of products.

  • Here, you can toggle between the content type of Video or LIVE, and view the overall key metrics such as GMV, Views and Items sold accumulated from all content.

Traffic SourceExplore the percentage of traffic coming from each platform where you shared the affiliate link. This helps you identify successful channels working well for you, and know which low traffic channels to optimize further!By default, the top 5 traffic sources will be displayed. If you have shared links on more than 5 channels, all other channels will be aggregated under "Others".

Attribution TypeExplore the ratio of direct attribution or indirect attribution to understand if audiences are drawn to your main links shared, or otherwise.
  • A higher percentage of direct attribution suggests that audiences actively engaged with the links shared
  • While a higher percentage of indirect attribution indicates that audiences are less appealed by the links shared and were exploring other options.

  • A low click rate but high GMV or Item sold could suggest there’s significant potential to boost performance by increasing your link-sharing efforts!

  1. Is the data shown on Key metrics real-time data?
    • Yes, the data shown on the Data homepage is real-time data if your selected time period is "Today".
    • For data accessed through the Toolkit, the data reflected is 1 day prior to the current day.
  2. How far back can I check the historical data?
    • You can customise the data range up to 180 days prior, or select the data in the range of the last 7 days.
  3. Why is there a difference between GMV and Commission Base in Commissions?
    • GMV (Gross Merchandise Value): Shows the amount paid by customers, including refunds and returns. It includes purchases made immediately or within 7 days after clicking your shoppable content, showcase, or affiliate link (where applicable).
    • Commission Base: The actual amount used for commission calculation. Adjustments may be made from GMV, such as:
      • subtracting taxes included in GMV
      • adding platform discount amounts
  4. Why are the data in Overview and Commissions different?
    • Overview is calculated based on the order creation date, while
Commissions is calculated based on the order settlement date.
  • In addition, If an order does not contribute to the creator’s commission, it will not be included in the Commissions tab. These mainly include:
    • Seller self-sold orders
    • Sample orders
    1. Why I cannot find the estimated commission in product and video dimensions?
      • The estimated commission for product and video dimensions has been temporarily removed. Creators can use the filtering features in [affiliate orders] as an alternative. These estimated metrics are expected to return in January 2026.
